PATH staff to present at annual Pacific Health Summit in Seattle

PATH staff will join colleagues from around the world to discuss nutrition at the Pacific Health Summit in Seattle from June 16 through 18, 2008. The annual summit will focus on “The Global Nutrition Challenge: Getting a Healthy Start.” Participants will tackle the challenge of providing enough of the right nutrition to vulnerable populations and the emerging threat of people receiving too much of the wrong nutrition in both the developed and developing world.

PATH at the conference

PATH for many years has worked to improve nutrition in low-resource countries and is currently implementing several interventions among populations worldwide to prevent malnutrition and improve the health of children and mothers. Dr. Christopher J. Elias, PATH’s president and CEO, will participate in a plenary panel discussion about the role of the private sector in global health and nutrition. Dr. Ted Greiner, a senior nutritionist at PATH, will present in a workshop about innovative micronutrient products and technologies.
