PATH helps launch online community of practice for those working to fight TB

A new online forum connects advocates, communicators, and others working on the front lines of tuberculosis (TB) elimination with the latest information, training and funding opportunities, and tools to enhance their work.

The online community of practice is aimed at advocates, trainers, communicators, and others working in the advocacy, communication, and social mobilization fields to fight TB. PATH developed and will moderate the forum in collaboration with partners.

Sharing advocacy tools

The forum provides a place to share experiences, seek advice, participate in interactive discussions with experts, and access tools as well as funding and training opportunities.

The site, which is also home to the Africa Coalition on TB's new website, is supported by the US Agency for International Development. Other collaborators are the Stop TB Partnership, the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, the Africa Coalition on TB, and Kwantu.

Membership is open to anyone interested in using advocacy, communication, and social mobilization tools to reduce TB around the world. To join the site, register at http://www.aidsportal.org/web/acsm. For more information, contact  acsm@path.org
