Director, International Operations and Support
Adam Silver, MBA, directs PATH’s International Operations and Support, partnering closely with our chief operating officer, program leaders, and operational leader of our country offices to ensure that the right systems, staff, structures, and processes are in place to drive successful and accountable project implementation and efficient and effective operational activities in a complex and evolving environment.
Mr. Silver has more than 13 years of operational experience working for international development organizations in limited-resource settings. Before joining PATH in 2013, he served as director of Operations for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, supporting 13 countries in sub-Saharan and West Africa. Prior to that, he was director for the foundation's Tanzania program, where he directed six key operational departments (Contracts and Grants, Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, Procurement and Logistics, and Administration), in addition to supporting the operational activities and staff in each of Tanzania's five offices.
Prior to joining the foundation, Mr. Silver was the associate director for the Peace Corps in Azerbaijan and the finance manager for the International Rescue Committee’s largest program in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He also served as the director of administration and finance for the Haitian Health Foundation in Jeremie, Haiti, and as a Peace Corps volunteer in Turkmenistan.
Mr. Silver received his MBA from the University of San José, California, and is pursuing a masters in community and economic development from Pennsylvania State University. He is fluent in English and French and proficient in Russian, Haitian Creole, and Kishwahili.
