Engaging women and their communities to combat violence, disease
One woman’s poor health affects not only her but her family and neighbors, too. Severe health problems among many women impact the health of whole communities and economies.
PATH makes sure women have the tools to support and improve their health. In some cases, our work starts with identifying and shedding light on threats to women’s well-being, such as widespread violence—then empowering women to find their voices and collectively speak out against the issues. Other times tackling a critical health issue, such as breast cancer, involves helping health care providers gain information and new perspectives on patients and their care.
PATH believes no woman’s illness is her ailment to endure alone. We connect women with the resources to help them and their communities understand and fight back against poor health.
