A new day for malaria treatment

Today, we’re celebrating a breakthrough in the treatment of malaria: a stable supply of the centerpiece ingredient in the most effective drug therapy for the disease. Dr. Ponni Subbiah, leader of our Drug Development program, is reporting from festivities marking the launch of industrial-scale production of semisynthetic artemisinin.
